Sounds music festival is a fictitious five-day electronic event in London. The brand system spotlights gritty thresholded textures and dripping hand-drawn text alluding to early metal graphics.
I explored a gritty metal style to give the festival visuals an edgy feel, while mixing in pink and purple to subvert typical expectations of metal imagery. All text is handwritten, with occasional supplementary text in Arial to reference early rave posters and accessible computer typefaces.
